About Dr Gupta
Sandeep Gupta is a medical doctor, nutritional and environmental medicine specialist, ayurvedic consultant and wellness coach.
Dr Gupta graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland 1999. Since then he served in a range of public and private hospitals in the South-East Queensland region, serving as a cardiology, medical and anaesthetic registrar. He also has approximately five years experience in working in Intensive Care, particularly in the area of post-cardiac surgery care.
Dr Gupta has received specialized training in integrative medicine, and was awarded a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 2008 and a Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010. He has also actively lectured Ayurveda House in Northern NSW, at the University of Queensland Medical Course in Brisbane, the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and for the Brisbane Holistic Health Group.
Sandeep Gupta is also one of the foremost expertsraw and living foods nutrition in Australia.
His participation in the Masters program in Raw and Living Food Nutrition has placed him on the forefronts of developments in this innovative field. He has studied under Dr. Gabriel Cousens and David Wolfe J.D. His thesis on blood type agglutination reactions in common health foods and superfoods set a platform for further study on the real observable differences in food reactions between different blood types.
Sandeep has been practising meditation and yoga since 1995, and lived in India for six months in 2004. He is fluent in Hindi and plays the tabla, harmonium, guitar, drums and harmonica. In his spare time he enjoys being in nature, playing music, swimming in clear mountain streams and travelling. He takes at least two to four weeks off every year for meditation to reconnect and recharge.
Since 2010 Dr Gupta has been working as a integrative medicine physician on the Sunshine Coast. His interests include integrative depression and anxiety treatment, integrated treatment of diabetes and heart disease, adrenal and thyroid dysfunction, dysbiosis, yeast infection and food intolerance. He is also currently conducting research into the effectiveness of Australian zeolite solution on reduction of heavy metal toxicity in those with chronic fatigue syndrome.
